morning bridgeport

Melissa, Amy and I went to St. V's to see James. Sad to see that behind the newly painted parking garage and the pretty waiting rooms are some sad hospital rooms and hallways. Sad, too, to hear that the hospitals in SA where James had to stay were way better facilities than what we have here in this (great?) country. Sadder to think about the enormous cost of the stay - and what you get for the money here. No wonder he wants to leave.

He was put in an exceptionally bad room and circumstance though, and in our sadness and madness over this and other facts, we three girls made a big noisy fuss to get him out of there and into a place where he could start to get well.

Our scene may have been embarrassing but I am proud that we all spoke up - and happy to hear that an hour after the protests, James got moved to a room without as many problems. I hope he is able to get some good rest and nourishment now.

Melissa, I love your rational and swift style and Amy I love your passion and strength. So different, but both so smart. You both done good. Real good. And I hope you'll feel good about that.
