no train wreck

People love a train wreck. traffic jams occur when drivers slow or stop for any glimpse of gore when an accident happens.

That's my theory as to why so many tuned in to the vp debate last night. I for one hung on every word and nuance, waiting to view/hear something that tina fey could parody on saturday night.

But because the bar was set so low the absence of any gaffe could be seen as brilliant - or at least competent. very smart strategy.
